Principal's Report
Students have made a fantastic start to term 3. It is wonderful to see behaviour that clearly demonstrates the ‘Lilydale Way’, with students acting safely, respectfully and showing focus with their learning. We are looking forward to an exciting and productive term!
7-8 Renovations
Our 7-8 classrooms underwent major renovations over the holidays. Our support staff put in a huge effort before students returned to have these spaces ready to go and our students are now enjoying their fresh and modern learning spaces.

Whole School Assembly
We will celebrate application to learning, academic excellence and sporting success at our whole school assembly on Thursday, 24 July at 9:15am in the Gym. This is an opportunity to showcase students who have achieved very high marks in mid-year reports for work habits in the areas of effort, attitude and behaviour and students who have achieved exceptional ratings in core subjects in the Australian Curriculum Framework.
MND Big Freeze
On the last Thursday of term 2, Lilydale participated in the Big Freeze, raising funds for MND. We raised a total of $750.55 and got to dunk Mr Brown and Mrs Hay, as well as the Student Leaders. Well done to Mr Brown, Ms Howell, Mrs Denehy and the Student Leaders for their organisation of the event and a big thank you to everyone who donated to this important cause.
Mobile Phones
We would like to thank parents and carers who have helped reinforce the message with their children that phones need to be ‘Off and Away All Day’ at school. Your support helps us to maintain a focused, respectful and positive environment for all students where learning and opportunities for genuine social interactions are encouraged. If you have an urgent message for your child during school hours, please contact the school office and staff will pass the message on.
Warm regards,
Alana Lava
